Basic Life Support (Previously BLS for Healthcare Provider) - Level C

This course teaches 1 and 2 rescuer CPR for adult, child and infant.  Choking, the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) and bag-valve-mask (BVM) are also taught in this course.  This course is designed for healthcare providers and first responders who require credential instruction (employer or regulatory requirement).

HeartSaver CPR / AED Provider

This course teaches one rescuer CPR and relief of choking in adults (with the option of child and infant).  This course also teaches how to use a pocket mask/barrier device and automated external defibrillator during CPR.  This course is designed for the general public with no written test.

In this course you will learn how to assess, manage and control an emergency situation involving a suddenly ill or injured person.  Instruction will include first aid skills for bleeding, shock, fractures/dislocations, as well as CPR/AED.  This course is ideal for the general public.

Emergency First Aid CPR and AED

This one-day course summarizes proven methods for providing basic assistance to injured or ill persons. Through instruction, demonstration, and practice, participants will learn how to determine the severity of a patient's condition and practice safe intervention when providing them with emergency support.  This course is ideal for lay rescuers or employees that are only required to receive of 8 hours or less of emergency or basic first aid instruction/practice as stipulated by provincial or federal health & safety regulations.

Red Cross - Childcare First Aid with CPR (Level B)

This Course covers a variety of topics to individuals who need training for child care, early childhood education work or people who want more knowledge to respond to a baby or child who is injured or ill at home.  The course covers cardiovascular emergencies, CPR, AED, choking, breathing emergencies and prevention of disease transmission, childhood safety and childhood illnesses.

ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

The ACLS Provider Course is evidence based, emphasizing basic life support skills (BLS) with ACLS interventions.  Students will utilize high-performance team dynamics and communication, while demonstrating recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes. This course is intended for healthcare professionals/practitioners who directly participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies.

Approximate course length: 12 hours 20 minutes (Re-certification 6 hours and 35 minutes)
